# NotchDesk > NotchDesk is a native Mac app that turns the MacBook notch into a live view of your day: a countdown to your next meeting with one-click Join, and a private clipboard history you can paste from in any app, plus a Tools tab of everyday utilities. It runs on macOS 14 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel). It is made by Synthcoder and launches soon; until then, people can join the waitlist. Key facts: - What it does: shows your next calendar event and a live countdown beside the notch; a meeting alert grows out of the notch a minute before each event with Join, Snooze and Dismiss; one shortcut (Control-Command-J) joins the current or next video meeting from any app (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, FaceTime, Slack huddles and more). - Clipboard: a private, searchable history of text, links, code, colors, images, files and screenshots; Quick Paste (Control-Command-V) from any app; a Library with on-device text recognition so screenshots are searchable by the words in them; snippets, Paste Stack, text transforms and image actions. - Tools tab in the notch: Quick Notes with checklists, timers and alarms, a calculator and unit converter, a color picker with contrast checks, screen capture and QR codes, a system monitor, quick toggles, download alerts, a dictionary, a Shortcuts launcher, countdowns and break reminders, and a camera mirror. - Also: Now Playing, battery and headphone notices beside the notch; Siri voice shortcuts; notchdesk:// URL actions, a command-line tool and a local MCP server for AI assistants; optional clipboard sync between your Macs through your own iCloud Drive. - Macs without a notch: the same panel appears as a small island at the top of the screen. - Privacy: the app has no account and no analytics. Clipboard history and calendar data stay on the Mac; text recognition and secret detection run on device; copies from password managers are never recorded. - Website: notchdesk.com uses Google Analytics 4 in consent mode, with cookies only after the visitor allows them; it never receives email addresses. - Business model: a paid app with a 14-day free trial of every feature, no account or card needed. At launch, the first 100 buyers get a founders’ lifetime license ($25 for 1 Mac, $49 for up to 3 Macs), paid once, with every future update. After those are gone, NotchDesk is sold as a subscription ($9 a month or $89 a year, up to 3 Macs).
